Our adventure begins in Barcelos, a picturesque town steeped in legend and folklore—most famously the tale of the Barcelos Rooster. Wander its charming streets and soak in the atmosphere of this quintessential Minho town.

Next, we visit Ponte de Lima, the oldest village in Portugal, known for its timeless beauty and centuries-old traditions. Stroll through the cobbled streets of its historic center and savor some of the region’s traditional sweets, a delightful introduction to Minho’s culinary heritage.

Enjoy a traditional lunch that celebrates the region’s rich gastronomy—an authentic experience filled with the bold flavors and rustic charm of local cuisine.

Re-energized, we follow the scenic Vinho Verde Wine Route, a path through rolling green landscapes and vine-covered hills. In Monção, home to the prestigious Alvarinho grape, we’ll tour one of the most renowned vineyards in the region, learning about the production process and, of course, enjoying a tasting.

Our journey continues to Valença, a fortified town perched along the border with Spain. Known for its impressive fortress and historical significance, it’s also a symbolic stop on the ancient pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela.

We conclude our day in Caminha, a serene riverside village where the Minho River meets the Atlantic Ocean. Here, we’ll unwind and take in a stunning sunset—nature’s perfect finale to an unforgettable day.
